Akma Suriati Awang membawa pengalaman 20 tahun bersamanya berkerja selaku Konsultan Fesyen dan Pereka Kostum. Beliau menamatkan pengajian di Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM) dengan Ijazah Sarjana Muda dalam bidang Seni dan Rekaan(Rekaan Fesyen).
Sejak itu, beliau terlibat dalam arena rekaan fesyen dari butik, pakaian koprat,kostum artis untuk drama, filem,
iklan TV, Persembahan Khas seperti Citrawarna, Pesta Bunga, Kereta Berhias, Hari Kemerdekaan, Pertabalan, sehinggalah ke teater bertaraf kebangsaan dan antarabangsa.
Sejak beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini, Akma diberi kesempatan terlibat bagi membuat kostum untuk filem antarabangsa dibawah 20th
Century Fox Production Limited seperti
Entrapment,
Ann and The King dan pernah berkerja di Teater "
Lion King" didalam Jabatan kostum di "
Hafen Theatre, Hamburg, Jerman 2005.(

Akma Suriati has 20 years of working experience as Fashion Consultant and Costume Designer. She graduated from University Technology Mara (UiTM ) with Bachelors Degree in Art and Design (Fashion Design).
She has since been involved in the arena designing ranging from
boutique, corporate attire, artist costume for film ,drama, TV commercials, special event like Independent Day( 31 Ogos),
Citrawarna, KL Fest, Flora Fest, and to theaters of national scale.
In recent years, Akma was privileged to doing costumes for international movies under 2
0th Century Fox Limited such
, Entrapment, Anna & The King and worked with
Lion King Theatre in the costum Department of the "
Hafen Theatre", Hamburg ,Germany 2005 (
